Meet your guide upon hotel pickup in Singapore for a comfortable, air-conditioned ride first to the ticket collection center, then to the Singapore Zoo. Located
on the northern part of the island, the zoo boasts a new concept in
animal keeping that features landscaped gardens where animals roam
freely in naturalistic habitats. The 64-acre (26-hectare) wildlife park,
nestled within the lush Mandai rainforest, is home to 3,600 animals
representing more than 300 species of mammals, birds and reptiles.

If
you’ve booked the optional upgrade, start with a jungle breakfast among
an amazing family of orangutans (see below) before boarding
the open tram for your morning tour. Those who do not select the
breakfast option have free time to explore the zoo at leisure before the
guided portion begins.

Then
hop aboard a tram for an informative ride around the open spaces that
are specially designed to replicate the natural environments
of the critters, from the Himalayan foothills to the Southeast Asian rainforest.

There are protective barriers that keep you a safe distance from animals such as zebras and elephants, but you can expect a number of amazing creatures to come right up to your tram as you travel. Along the way, you will stop to get out and explore on foot, too.

With
commentary highlighting the plight of these magnificent creatures,
Singapore Zoo hopes to inspire in its guests a respect and deep
appreciation of nature.

Completely unreliable third party pick-up and unorganised tour company for this breakfast and zoo tour.
Driver forgot to pick me up on the pre-paid and confirmed date, so I had the concierge at my hotel (Ritz Carlton) re-book for the following day. I sat there waiting and he stood redialing the tour company for over 2.5 hours! The following day we called 3 times prior to pick-up to make sure they would in fact arrive. The assigned driver never came, (what a surprise) I waited 1 hour. Luckily the lovely driver who picked me up for the City tour on my first day in Singapore kindly heard the call and came. Once I arrived to the designated drop off point in order to change buses, I waited for over half an hour before they finally got us on the tour bus to the Zoo. But wait the drama doesn't end there.. Tour East put us onto a bus and forget to give us our pre-paid tickets to enter the Zoo or any information regarding our transportation return times. Luckily i had the phone number to ring the company and they sent a tour guide out from inside the zoo to collect us.
Sorry Tour East, didn't realised I paid for a running tour of the Zoo, as that's exactly what we had to do in order to make the last 15 minutes of the Orangutans and Breakfast! My tip - Make sure you ring and confirm the night before and in the morning before your designated booking time or then again you could book via a more reliable tour company! The Zoo itself is recommended.

We had a wonderful time at the zoo. The breakfast with the Orangutans was good but not great. It poured with rain as we arrived, so we queued for raincoats - $5 each. By the time we got to the breakfast the talk was half over. However we did queue for a photo and it was a beautiful shot but the Orangutans left about 5 mins after that so we felt we had had very little time to just watch them. Surely raincoats or umbrellas could be supplied? Add it to the cost to the entrance charge if necessary. A little rain we could have managed but we would have been soaked for the whole day if we hadn't bought a raincoat. It was bucketing down! Apart from that the zoo was very good, well laid out and lots to see.

Really good tour, got picked up from our hotel and then dropped off as well. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The orangutans were very cute and plenty of opportunity for photos. The zoo itself was amazing but would have liked to have had an extra hour or so there included in the tour. Would definitely recommend anyone does this tour.

One of the best zoos that I have visited as you can get very close to the animals. Easy to get around the zoo. The breakfast with the orangutans was great and worth the additional cost.

If you choose to make your own way back to the city check the shuttle bus times first as they only go once an hour.

This was the highlight of our 5 day Singapore stopover.

The orangutans are so special and friendly. They are so attuned to having the public around they seem to not notice.

This was a great experience and the human breakfast was 5 star!!

The Zoo overall is a Singapore must see.
